NAIOP Silicon Valley University Challenge

Case Study Competition

Our first Annual University Case Study Challenge was held in Fall of 2021 between full-time undergraduate student teams from Menlo College, San Jose State University, and Santa Clara University. Each university team will be tasked to evaluate the site of a previously completed development project and devise a current ground-up development plan, based on the current market environment. Potential issues to be addressed may include product type, scale, financing, sustainable development, transit- and traffic-related issues, community impact, and feasibility. Teams had 3 weeks to develop their final written and oral presentations that was presented live to an audience of 75+ attendees on Nov. 10. 2021 at Harvest Cafe at the Great America Commons.
