John Mozart, Mozart Development Company, Classic Communities
John Mozart grew up in Silicon Valley and graduated from San Jose State University. Mr. Mozart served in the U.S. Air Force prior to joining his father's company, a Palo Alto based Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen dealership. In 1970, Mr. Mozart founded Eurasian Automotive Products, a foreign auto parts distribution company based in Palo Alto. He acquired property in Sunnyvale in 1971 to build a warehouse for his growing business.
Mr. Mozart subsequently expanded his real estate operation, developing two or three projects a year. In 1979, to concentrate all of his efforts on real estate development, he sold Eurasian Automotive Products, which had 140 employees.
Mr. Mozart has developed approximately 6 million square feet of Class-A office buildings and R&D space in the Bay Area over the past 30 years. In 1992, Mr. Mozart and Mr. Scott Ward founded Classic Communities, Inc., a developer of single family homes, having delivered over 2,200 new homes in Silicon Valley.
